RIFT’s Macbeth has been treated to a centrefold spread in the print edition of The Guardian this week, with the story also being syndicated online along with photos from one of the initial test performances. This level of exposure has certainly increased the level of excitement and anticipation for the show not only among audiences, but among the producers and performers as well. In what will surely be the most ambitious project any of us have yet undertaken, it’s fulfilling to see that ambition being recognized on a national level by lovers of the arts.
For my part, an image of my silhouette made it onto the online homepage the day the print edition went out, which feels like something of a milestone.
